Project Description: Create a series of carousel style Instagram posts to promote the  Emerging Artist in Residence program at Meredith College.

Solution: I created these posts as a part of my artist residency at Meredith College in the Fall of 2022. Visually, the design is minimal to emphasize the images of the artwork that are used in the post. Bright colors or flashy text might distract from the images. The type face used is Roboto, in order to stay consistent with the gallery's website and branding.

Visual elements overlap from one slide to the next to encourage viewers to swipe through the post, as well as to establish visual continuity from one slide to another. A grid structure is used to layout the post to ensure that, despite the different placements of objects on different slides, the placements are not visually jarring. 

To create these posts I worked with the gallery director and other two artists in residence in order to gather images and write the copy. A call to action at the end of the post urges viewers (in this case, mostly Meredith College students and alumni that follow the gallery's Instagram account) to learn more by visiting the Emerging Artist Residency web page.
